Animal Crossing-e is a series of cards for the Nintendo e-Reader that interact with Animal Crossing. They are scanned while at the machine in the Post Office.
Villager Cards
A villager card has a picture of a villager on it and some information about them, such as their birthday. Scanning a Villager Card causes the villager on the card to send the player a letter with a present.
Other Cards
Other cards have functions such as such uploading a pattern.
