If hit with an Axe, orange trees produces either Hardwood, Wood, or Softwood. As a tree item, it can relocated after eating an edible item and using a Shovel.

orange trees are obtained by planting an Orange on a dirt or grass tile. orange trees are also spawned naturally on the player's island if Oranges are the native fruit, and can also be found on Mystery Islands or on Kapp'n's boat tours depending on if Oranges are the player's native or sister fruit.

In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing after listening to Leif's lecture at the school regarding hybrid flowers. Blaire, Cheri, Purrl, Tangy, and Tasha feature this item in their order list when designing their vacation home.
