"I've gotta warm up properly for the heated battles ahead, b-b-buddy!"
— Roald, Animal Crossing

Template:Infobox villager Roald (ペンタ, Penta) is a jock, penguin villager from the Animal Crossing series series. He has appeared in every game so far. Roald's name probably comes from the author Roald Dahl, whose books were published by Puffin Books (a puffin is a type of bird that looks like a penguin) or even Roald Amundsen, the first person to reach the south pole.

Appearance

Roald is an overweight, uphimself, dark, navy blue adelie penguin, who is initially wearing a red and white checked Cafe Shirt. His eyes are laid-back in a half-closed position. He has a stomach that is white and a beak, as every penguin has, that is yellow-orange. His feet are the same color, too, and his flippers (wings) are the same color as his back.Roald likes to win fights and boasts about his bug catching skills.

Personality

Below is a brief description of the jock personality. For more information, click here.

At first, you might not see it, but Roald has a jock personality. You might not see it in him at first due to the fact that he is a penguin and has a Kiddie-themed room, and he has half-closed eyes (which make him look like lazy). So do not judge him at his first appearance - talk to him and you will see that he is really into sports. He claims to be the strongest villager in the town and goes waaaay overboard when it comes to fitness and muscles, much to the dismay of normal villagers. Sometimes snooty villagers will ask him to move their house as a tease. He obviously does not, though. Roald is an active villager, so he is rarely inside his house, and never seems to get ill (like most of jock villagers). He loves to look for bugs, clothes, and fossils.

House

His house mainly contains items from both the Kiddie Series and Space Theme. He has K.K. Parade playing on his robo-stereo. He has the kiddie clock, satellite, rocket, space shuttle, telescope, bowling pins, super toilet, and a train set. He has the playroom wall and kiddie carpet.
