Introductions and Greetings

Introduction (morning): Well, good morning. If I’m not mistaken, this is the first time you and I have crossed paths. I’m known as [name]. I’m a jack-of-all-trades, a master of none. I answer to neither man nor animal. And your name would be… [player]. I see. It’s a pleasure meeting you, [catchphrase].

Introduction (afternoon): Ah yes, good afternoon. This is the first time I’ve seen you around here… Isn’t that correct? If you wouldn’t mind telling me your name… [player]. I see. I am [name]. I travel many paths far away from the things of animals. Well met, [catchphrase].

Introduction (evening): Ah yes, good evening. I believe this is our first meeting, isn’t that correct? I am [name]. I go where I choose, and answer the beckons of neither man nor animal. And you would be… [player]. Right. It’s nice to have met you, [catchphrase].

Introduction (night): How very odd. A stranger, at this time of night… What might your name be? …[player]. I see. I am [name]. I live here for I have no need of society’s trappings. Well met, [catchphrase].

Salutation (morning): Hmm…[player]. You appear to be quite active in the morning hours. I wish you would share a bit of your vitality with me, [catchphrase]. That would be most welcome.

Greeting (morning) 1: Greetings, [player].

Greeting (morning) 2: Well, if it isn’t…you. I wonder if your presence is a sign of what sort of day it’ll be, [catchphrase].

Greeting (morning) 3: It’s strange…but I feel a spooky wind blowing today. No, perhaps it’s just my imagination, [catchphrase].

Salutation (afternoon): Hello, [player]. Good day, [catchphrase]. I’m pleased to see you’re looking healthy.

Greeting (afternoon) 1: Greetings. You look to be in fine spirits, [catchphrase].

Greeting (afternoon) 2: Perhaps it’s just me, but… the air smells salty today. No, I think it really IS just me, [catchphrase].

Greeting (afternoon) 3: Oh, [player].

Salutation (evening): Hmmm… If I’m not mistaken, you’re [player]. The night has grown dark. Does this frighten you?

Greeting (evening) 1: Hello, [player]. It’s cold again tonight, huh? You must be freezing, dressed as you are. …But of course, who am I to pass judgment on your choice of dress, [catchphrase]?

Greeting (evening) 2: Greetings, [player]. I hope the evening finds you well, [catchphrase].

Greeting (evening) 3: Night has fallen, huh?

Salutation (night): EEYAH! …Oh, heh heh. It’s just [player]. What could you possibly be doing so late at night? Sorry. None of my business. To each his or her own. As long as you don’t make trouble for people… …You can do whatever you please… I may have had an accident…

Greeting (night) 1: [player], don’t you ever feel the need for sleep? Of course, I don’t either. I don’t even consider this nighttime, [catchphrase]. Time has no hold over me.

Greeting (night) 2: [player], hello. I trust you’re well this evening, [catchphrase].

Greeting (night) 3: You’re up awfully late, aren’t you, [player]? Then again, so am I, [catchphrase].

Re-introduction (morning): Ah. It’s been [number] weeks since we last met! How has unfeeling time treated you, [catchphrase]?

Re-introduction (afternoon): Well, hello [player]! The passage of time means very little to me, but I feel as though it’s been a while. So, you just paddled all the way over here, huh? Your arms must be tired… …That…sounded so dumb. Please forgive my complete lack of a sense of humor! I’ve been away from society for so very long…

Re-introduction (evening): Evening, [player]. It’s been [number] weeks, now. No, no, don’t apologize. I’m used…to being alone. Sniff sniff…

Re-introduction (night): Ah, so you came, after all. Somehow, I had a feeling that I would see you quite soon, [catchphrase].

Salutation (Festival) 1: Hey, how is life on the mainland, [catchphrase]?

Salutation (Festival) 2: Hi, [player].

Salutation (Festival) 3: Hey, [player]. Haven't you heard? Something is going on in [town] today. Even I've heard about it out here, [catchphrase].

Salutation (April Fools’ Day) 1: 'Sup, [player]? You know something? I'm really an alien. Naw...just kidding. April Fool.

Salutation (April Fools’ Day) 2: Hey there [player]. Have I ever told you that I'm exiled royalty? Well, that's 'cause I'm not. April Fool... I had you going for a minute though, didn't I?

Salutation (April Fools’ Day) 3: Watch out, [player]. I'm really a ninja assassin hiding from the law. Well, no, that's not true... It was supposed to be one of thoseーwhat are they called?ーApril Fools' things. That's what it was.

Salutation (Spring Cleaning Day) 1: So…[player]… Are you done cleaning already, [catchphrase]? It’s Spring Cleaning Day, after all…but I suppose it’s up to you whether you clean your room or not.

Salutation (Spring Cleaning Day) 2: Did you come out here to escape Spring Cleaning Day, [player]? Well, I sure won’t force you to clean. It always seemed like a pretty bizarre holiday to me. I just figured my mother made it up so I’d tidy.

Salutation (Spring Cleaning Day) 3: Is everyone running around like crazy back on the mainland? Honestly, Spring Cleaning Day is nuts! What kind of holiday forces you to do chores?

Segue 1: Was there something you needed, [catchphrase]?

Segue 2: What was it you needed to tell me, [catchphrase]?

Segue 3: Can I…help you?

Never mind 1: Ok then, [catchphrase].

Never mind 2: Understood, [catchphrase].

Never mind 3: Oh, I see, [catchphrase].

Chat Topics and Interactions

Topic (free time): Ah, [player]? I’m curious. What do you do when you don’t have anything to do, [catchphrase]?

  • “I’ll be at home.”: Really? I completely agree. I think that’s the way to go. That’s where you’ll find me in idle hours, as well. I, too, enjoy locking my door, putting my feet up, and reading a paperback. Simple pleasures are best.
  • “Pull weeds!”: Oh, really? I see. Fascinating. An unexpected answer, and yet one that speaks no small wisdom. It can be very therapeutic to put one’s mind on hold, and do something purely physical, [catchphrase]. In perfecting the mind, we mustn’t forget the body. Speaking of which, have you considered [sport]?
  • “Demolish a house”: What? Just…hold on a minute! No matter how much free time you may have, you must not resort to such recklessness! You’re playing with me, aren’t you?
  • “Leave me alone!”: Huh? Ah, [player]? Did I say something to upset you, [catchphrase]? If I’ve angered you, I apologize. It is not my place to spread ill will. There’s a bit of… a breeze coming up…

Topic (floating island): Long ago, when I still had contact with my family, my grandfather told me an unnerving story. He claimed to have dove into the sea, only to find that this island is not anchored to anything at all. That means [island] is just floating around, rootless, helpless, adrift in an uncaring world! Kind of like myself, actually. Anyway, do you think my grandfather was full of it, [player]? No, I’ve never checked. I sink like a stone.

Topic (tanning): The sun’s very strong here. If you don’t use sunscreen or a parasol, you’ll get burnt badly. This is to be avoided. A sunburn is a sore trial for man or beast. Myself, I think I’d just as soon get snow-burned.

Topic (coconuts): Have you ever stumbled upon coconuts on the beach? It's quite rare. It's my opinion that they wash ashore after an epic sea journey from another tropical island...

Topic (chopping trees): If I remember correctly, doing things in moderation is one of the more accepted guidelines of society. You would be wise to apply this to the chopping of trees. For woe to the lumberjack who harvests too heartily! In time, axe blades will begin to dull and chip, and the environment will weep and suffer as well.

Topic (beetles): Yes, yes. Yes, I’ve seen them. I know what you speak of! Giant Stag Beetles. Yes, a thousand times, yes! What? Did you just say… ten…ten THOUSAND Bells? I can’t have heard correctly. [player], don’t try to mess with my head! It’s people like you that made me embrace the hermit’s life! I’m not exactly up on current events, but there’s no way a single bug could be worth that amount of money! I may be a solitary recluse, but I’m not a stupid one! I’m enlightened! So I say to you: HA!

Topic (fish): As you can see, this island is completely surrounded by the sea. So, you can only catch saltwater fish here. But–and this is a bit odd–there are no jellyfish. To be honest, that pleases me. Jellyfish are vile things. Let’s see, what else… Oh, yes! How silly of me. Now, bear in mind I’ve never seen one at a civilized hour… …But, sometimes at night or the early morning, I catch glimpses of fish of unusual size right offshore. And if I’m not mistaken… I only saw these creatures on rainy days. Am I remembering correctly? Hmm…

Topic (sports): I’ve long since abandoned all sports, but I must admit it’s what I owe my continued good health to. Yes, long ago I got into [sport] with reckless abandon. I was like a force of nature! So how about you, [player]? Hmm? Have you ever tried your hand at it, [catchphrase]

Topic (time): As for myself, I don’t keep a journal. Pen and paper are so pedestrian. The enlightened memory is its own diary. The past is best forgotten, for no beast can change it. The future holds all I need. Heh heh heh…

Topic (suffering, to male): You know, [player]... Sometimes, you've got to grit your teeth and bear the pain. That's how real men deal with hard times...

Topic (opinions, to female): You know, [player]... I believe that females should be more opinionated! I had a girlfriend once, and I never had any idea what she wanted or what was going through her head! Oh, you feel the same way? No, don't get mad! I didn't mean to tell you something you already knew! Puh-please! Have mercy!

Topic (personal opinion): Umm, [player]. As a rule, I could care less about the opinions of mainlanders… …But I have to ask. What do you think of, when you think of me, [catchphrase]?

  • “A nice person.”: Oh, is that so? Heh heh… No? No! Really? You don’t say? Seriously? Heh heh heh… {GOOD MOOD}
  • “Friend”: That is a great truth! We ARE friends, aren't we? It is a foreign feeling, to have companionship... [player], I have a feeling that tomorrow will be filled with as much pleasure as today!
  • “Just hangin’…”: Heh heh heh heh... That is such a truism. That's just the way things are, and one must accept it. No, I would never blame anyone for this simple life. This island, this hut... I've grown accustomed to it...
  • “Who are you?”: Hmmph... Great. I must purge my mind of your rudeness. Let's just pretend it never happened...

Topic (relationship): Listen, [player]... Even if you and I were to part ways some day... I hope you never forget me. I'll never forget you. I don't think...

Topic (favorite furniture): Say, [player]… Is there a particular piece of furniture you’re looking for, [catchphrase]? Me, I’m looking for a [furniture], but it’s extremely hard to come by. Especially on an island. Oh, but how I want it! It consumes my every thought! It invades my dreams!

Topic (favorite furniture request): Hold on! If I'm not mistaken, that's [furniture]! That's one of the series of furniture I'm collecting! Where did you find that? Curse my isolation! I hesitate to ask you, but would you sell it for [number] Bells, [catchphrase]?

  • “OK!”: Ruh-really?! What a noble human you are! Here you are. I never thought I'd say this, but you've restored my faith in the people of this world!
  • “No way!”: ...I suspected as much. It's all right. I'll live. Don't worry about it. I understand that it's hard to give up things you like. Possessions take such a hold on the mind, don't they? Sigh...

Topic (any furniture request): Is that [furniture]? You have intriguing taste in furniture, [player]. Would you sell it to me for [number] Bells, [catchphrase]?

  • “OK!”: Oh, that was so easy! I thank you. Here's [number] Bells. Let's see... Now I need to figure out how to fit this in with the design scheme in my home. This wasn't a planned purchase, you know...
  • “Absolutely NOT!”: Oh, it's not for sale? I see. I understand. I'm actually glad you refused. I wasn't sure about it either, if you want the truth. Now that I think about it, I certainly don't need it. What came over me? I'm not just saying that! Material goods have no hold over me whatsoever!

Topic (given favorite furniture, player): The [furniture] you gave me is quite nice. When I see it, I remember the joys of material goods.

Topic (given favorite furniture, other player): I really love the [furniture] I've got in my room. [other player] gave it to me. Isn't [other player] wonderful? More wonderful than some...

Topic (furniture return, player): Uhh...[player]? About the [furniture] you saw fit to give me... I'm afraid I just couldn't make very good use of it. After much soul-searching, I've decided I'd like to give it back to you. Please don't be angry. I'm just a lonely hermit... You can't expect me to have tastes like everyone else...

Topic (furniture return, other player): Uhhh, Player? Do you know [other player]? Yes, well, [other player] let me have this [furniture], but I'm afraid the thing has outstayed its welcome. To be completely honest, I really don't care for it. Anyway, that being the case, I'd like to give this to you. But whatever you do, do NOT tell [other player]!

Topic (furniture sale): Oh, [player]. I'm curious... Would you like [furniture]? I could let you have it for [number] Bells, catchphrase...

  • “I'll buy it!”: Oh! You'll take it? Well, I thank you. Here you go. It just didn't match anything I had. I truly appreciate this, [catchphrase].
  • “I don't need it.”: Oh, is [number] Bells too expensive? Seems a fair price to me...

Topic (clothing request): Grrrrrrmmmph! [player]! I can’t stand it anymore! I’ve hit my limit! I simply can’t stay silent anymore! I must have your [clothing]! Yes! I can’t live without it! You must give it to me! For free! I beg you!

  • “I guess…”: Oh, are you toying with me? You’re not? Really?! Thank you so much! I’m indebted to you forever! Well, I may be exaggerating… Forever’s a mighty long time…
  • “Absolutely NOT!”: Oh, no! No! But… But… Ugh… I should’ve expected this… How depressing…

Topic (given clothing, player): Thank you for giving me a piece of your precious clothing the other day. That was very kind of you. I’m taking good care of it. Oh, yes. I am.

Topic (given clothing, other player): You might like to know that [other player] visited here recently and gave me some nice new clothes! I was pretty flattered!

Topic (catchphrase request): It’s been pointed out to me… that I have a tendency to say “[catchphrase].” I think perhaps it makes me sound somewhat rude, [catchphrase]. I’ve lost touch with polite society. What should I do, [player]? Could you help me find something cool, yet tough? I just have no idea what’s popular these days… I want a word that shows I’d be in control, even in a blizzard… I’d do it myself, but I choose to ignore society’s trends. So could you help me out here, [catchphrase]?

  • “Sure!”: Oh, very good! Here goes! {CATCHPHRASE ENTRY} ☃Uh-hu-hem☃ [catchphrase]! I see… Yes, very good. I think I understand where you’re going with this, [catchphrase]. Intriguing. It’s raw, yet passionate. It captures the doomed pursuit of inner bliss, yet offers hope, [catchphrase]! Yes! This pleases me. My thanks, [catchphrase]!
  • “That’s fine!”: Hey! I never thought… How could I be so blind! You’re right, [player]. I have lapsed into self-pity. I have forgotten something essential about what it means to be me! I must spend more time on self-contemplation. For it is there, in the mind’s void, that I will find contentment. It’s time to recreate [name], [catchphrase]!

Topic (guest book request): I…carry a notebook called my “Trail of Memories.” STOP LAUGHING! Er, excuse me. I’m just a little touchy. Anyway, if you don’t mind, would you write something in my precious notebook? This is not a demand, of course…

  • “Sure!”: Oh, you will? Why, thank you! Please write whatever you wish, [catchphrase]. {GUESTBOOK ENTRY} Thank you so very much. I’ll be sure to read it later, [catchphrase].
  • “Don’t have time!”: What? …OK, I understand. Oh, I’ll be fine. I’m used to feeling lonely…

Topic (guest book display, player): [player]. I wonder... Do you remember this? {GUEST BOOK DISPLAY} This is what you wrote in my precious notebook, my "Trail of Memories"... I'll treasure this notebook until the end of time. Heh heh...[catchphrase].

Topic (guest book display, other player): Hey, [player]... Do you know [other player] from [other player’s town]? This is what [other player] wrote in my notebook. {GUEST BOOK DISPLAY} It's so [other player]. It makes me chortle. Heh heh...[catchphrase].

Topic (other player) 1: [other player] stopped by the island recently, and I must say, that is one strong-looking human! But perhaps it was just my imagination, after all...

Topic (other player) 2: [other player] recently visited here, and I swear that human looked even stronger than the last time. Do you think that's possible?

Topic (flag change, player): Oh, I've just noticed! Did you change the flag? Hmm, it's...interesting... The lines... The contrast... It's very inspired.

Topic (flag change, other player): Have you noticed that the flag has changed? Yes, it certainly has. [other player] came and changed it the other day. It's quite nice, no? Heh heh.

Topic (shaking trees, player): Have you ever heard of someone getting hurt from a falling coconut? I never have, myself, but it's good to be careful, [player]. Prudence is the better part of coconut valor.

Topic (shaking trees, other player): Is it trendy among humans to go around shaking trees? Because [other player] was shaking these trees like crazy the other day.

Topic (dug holes, player): I couldn't help but notice you digging many holes in the ground, [player]... Did you bury a treasure? Or was it one of those...? Heh heh heh...

Topic (dug holes, other player): [other player] came visiting here just the other day, and dug up so many holes... People like that are the reason I moved to an island in the first place! It took me hours to fill those things! ...Well, I might be exaggerating a tiny bit, but it was a lot of work!

Topic (coconut, player): If you're going to take a coconut home, you should plant it near the beach. Otherwise, it won't grow.

Topic (coconut, other player): [other player] scooped up a coconut last time. I wonder what that human did with it? Do you think it got planted somewhere?

Topic (ate coconut, player): I've never seen anyone else eat a coconut whole! Yes, you're the first. How does the husk taste?

Topic (ate coconut, other player): I'm still getting over my shock! I saw [other player] devouring a coconut! Just biting right into it! [other player] must have incredibly strong teeth!

Topic (planted flowers, player): People who love flowers are kind and in harmony with the world... That's generally true, wouldn't you say? You think it's bad to make such a sweeping statement?

Topic (planted flowers, other player): I feel like I should tell you, [other player] has a very kind heart. Folks like that renew my faith in mankind. How do I know? I watched [other player] planting flowers here the other day.

Topic (planted saplings, player): Look at how green and lush this island has become! And it's all thanks to you, [catchphrase].

Topic (planted saplings, other player): [other player] planted quite a few trees here. That was nice...

Topic (planted coconut, player): You planted a coconut? You may not know this, but coconuts sometimes travel over the vast ocean like lonely explorers. They eventually wash ashore, and grow into palm trees on the beaches of whatever land they end up in. Doesn't that sound romantic? Sometimes I wish I could be a coconut...

Topic (planted coconut, other player): It might interest you to know that [other player] planted a coconut here on the island Palm trees are... so very tropical. I can't wait to see it grow.

Topic (planted apple, player): You planted an apple? I heard that they grow in numbers up north. Oh, I just love apples...

Topic (planted peach, player): You planted a peach? Peaches are quite juicy, aren't they? I'd devour them whole, if it weren't for that hairy skin! For some reason, I find it...disturbing.

Topic (planted cherry, player): You planted some cherries? I enjoy them, but I really feel like the fruit-to-pit ratio is unacceptable! The pits are enormous! But even so, they're good. I enjoy a handful of cherries as much as the next animal.

Topic (planted pear, player): You planted a pear? Some people don't like the texture of pears. ...But those people are fools. I love them, [catchphrase]!

Topic (planted orange, player): You planted an orange? I actually prefer tangerines. But I think you can only get those in cold areas.

Topic (planted fruit, other player): It might interest you to know that [other player] planted a[n] apple here on the island. I happen to love [apples/peaches/cherries/pears/oranges]. I'm looking forward to devouring quite a few of them, myself.

Topic (crushed flowers, player): ...That's just horrible. As always, I'm confounded by the heartlessness of others. You must treat flowers with care and love, [player].

Topic (crushed flowers, other player): I love the abundant natural resources of this island. They're one of the reasons I moved here, you know. That's why it's so tough for me to watch someone stomping on the flowers. I hope you're more careful than most humans about where you plant your feet, [catchphrase].

Topic (crushed many flowers, player): Please, don't stomp on the poor flowers! It's not funny! They've done nothing to you!

Topic (crushed many flowers, other player): Oh, it was horribly tragic! I can't believe it happened! Humans can be such animals sometimes! [other player] came and crushed all the flowers, roaring and stomping like Mega-Bowser! There goes my faith in humanity. I'm so depressed...

Topic (chopped trees, player): I'd appreciate it if you'd plant some coconuts to replace the trees you cut down, [player].

Topic (chopped trees, other player): [other player] cut down a palm tree the other day. I didn't think all that much of it at the time... Cutting the occasional tree down is fine, but I hope everybody is careful about how many they chop. Folks should plant new ones. It really presents problems if all the palm trees get chopped down...

Topic (chopped many trees, player): Oh, just look at all the trees you've cut down! Aren't you aware that the island will dry up without any vegetation? Don't you care at all? Please, you must plant some replacements, all right? It's just common sense! When will you humans learn?

Topic (chopped many trees, other player): I'm STILL mad about this! I witnessed a senseless act of destruction on the island! It was carnage! [other player] cut down so many trees, it was like an Arbor Day tragedy! I wish people would learn to do things in moderation! It's stuff like this that makes me shun society at large!

Topic (barred knifejaw, player): Here, let me teach you how to catch a saltwater fish... To catch a saltwater fish, first you must get inside the mind of your quarry... ...Hmm?! Really? You've actually caught a barred knifejaw already!? Oh, you must excuse my ignorance! It appears I have nothing to teach you, [catchphrase].

Topic (barred knifejaw, other player): I witnessed [other player] catching a barred knifejaw the other day. It was quite the spectacle! That human's an impressive fisherman, don't you think?

Topic (pushed, player): It's far too hot for us to stick so close to one another, [player]! Please! A little space, if you don't mind! If you must insist on this sort of activity, you really ought to save it for some cooler weather.

Topic (pushed, other player): [other player] was visiting here the other day, but... That crazy human kept pushing me around! That wasn't very nice at all.

Topic (net, player) 1: Violence is one of the main reasons I moved away from the mainland! I do NOT approve of it in any form! When has anything been resolved through violence?

Topic (net, other player) 1: Oh, it was so terrible! The horror, [player]! [other player] visited me, and before I knew it I was getting whacked in the head with a net for no reason! It was incredibly annoying. I got REALLY mad...

Topic (net, player) 2: I can understand how one might accidentally hit an animal with a net once or twice, but... I can't help but notice I've been struck repeatedly! Therefore, you must be doing it on purpose! Am I correct?

Topic (net, other player) 2: [other player] whacked me with a net the other day, so I was forced to give out a stern warning. That's the only way you can deal with people like that.

Topic (fall in pit, player): Ho ho ho. Oh, sorry. I know I shouldn't laugh. I've fallen into a pitfall quite a few times, myself. Don't worry about it.

Topic (fall in pit, other player): You might like to know that I witnessed [other player] tumbling into a hole the other day. Did you dig that hole? Heh. Good one.

Topic (fall, player): I saw you take a fall. Are you OK?

Topic (fall, other player): I feel bad saying this, but [other player] is so klutzy! Last time [other player] was on the island, that oaf took so many tumbles!

Topic (unpopular luck?, player): My emotions are easily swayed by the little things in life. It's a tough burden for an animal to bear. Sadly, I have a long way to go before I can reach a zen state of mind. But I have nothing but time...

Bee sting: Heh heh heh. Ah, yes. Been shaking trees lately, [player]? Don’t lie. I know the ways of nature. Listen, about the swelling… Don’t you know you can just sleep it off? Don’t sweat it. I would hope, however, that you don’t forget the results of your little experiment, [catchphrase].

Pushed 1: Please! Stop pushing me! Violent people like you are what’s wrong with human society, [catchphrase]! {UPSET}

Pushed 2: Hey, just stop it, now! That’s not acceptable! Decent creatures do NOT treat each other like this! You think you can push me around like a toy? You are truly twisted. Begone, [catchphrase]! {UPSET}

Pushed 3: What are you doing?! I’ve attained an inner peace, but even that has its limits! You’d not like the full brunt of my stored-up fury! My anger is slow to kindle, but when it ignites, woe to the person in its path, [catchphrase]! {UPSET}

Net 1: Err…I don’t know what it is you’re trying to do, but it’s VERY, VERY ANNOYING!! …I’m usually at one with the universe, but I’m about to go supernova, [catchphrase]! {UPSET}

Net 2: Please, stop right now. I don’t find your human humor the slightest bit funny. {UPSET}

Net 3: Hey, that does NOT feel good, [catchphrase]! {UPSET}

Pitfall 1: Oh, this is a pitfall, isn't it? This couldn't have been your doing, now, could it? No, you're a decent human. It's fine. Remain calm. As long as one keeps one's cool, this is not a problem... Darn it! Darn it! DAAAARN IT!

Pitfall 2: Oh, what? This? No no, this was fully intentional. Yes, I fell into this trap on purpose. Of course! But, wasn't that obvious? You don't really believe I would accidentally fall into a trap like this, do you?

Pitfall 3: Well, as fun as this little adventure has been, I guess it's about time I got myself out of this hole... Although, the walls of this trap are actually fascinating. Ha ha. Ha ha. Urge to freak out...rising.

Angry 1: Look, I’m sorry, but… Please leave me alone. I’m in a foul mood…

Angry 2: How very depressing. I’m still at the mercy of my emotions, [catchphrase]. No matter how much I would like to rise above this, I cannot keep my anger bottled up inside. This is one bad mood…

Angry 3: Sorry, [player], but I don’t want to take my anger out on you. Please, come back later. I’m in a wretched mood…

Sad 1: The world is full of despair. You know this is true, don’t you, [player]? So much cruelty…

Sad 2: Please, [player]. I just want to be left alone for now, [catchphrase].

Sad 3: I WANT to be able to smile even when life is rough… But I haven’t reached that point yet, [catchphrase].

Upset 1: …[player]. Sometimes it’s important to look back on mistakes you’ve made and feel remorse for them. Now may well be one of those times, [catchphrase].

Upset 2: You’ve completely betrayed my trust, [player]! I don’t feel like talking to you for a while… Now, if you’ll just excuse me, [catchphrase]…

Upset 3: Please don’t talk to me. The way I imagine myself right now is standing alone on a snowy train platform with soulful music playing… I bet you know that feeling, [catchphrase].

Love luck 1: Ah! [player]! I’m so very impressed! You’re wonderful! You are truly WONDERFUL! You’re a model of what human beings should be! I want to protect you! I want to get you things! I’ll follow you to the end of the world!

Love luck 2: Ah, [player]! You fair creature! You’re the most wonderful creature on earth! …Or that’s what I thought… But that can’t be true. I must become more rational… {NEUTRAL LUCK}

Love luck 3A: Oh, [player]! I’ve been thinking of you all day long… …Oh, my mistake. It must’ve been my imagination. Sorry to bother you, [catchphrase]. {NEUTRAL LUCK}

Love luck 3B: Oh, [player]! I’ve been thinking of you all day long… Oh, I’m dead serious. You’re absolutely wonderful, [catchphrase].

Unpopular luck 1: [player]. Listen. Let me tell you what I think of you right now… No. No, actually, I think you should spend some time thinking about it yourself. Excuse me…

Unpopular luck 2: I feel as though I should apologize, [player]. I’ve been avoiding you for foolish, childish reasons. I like to think of myself as above such failings, but… I’ll spend some time alone trying to sort out my issues, [catchphrase]. I hope you remain my friend. {NEUTRAL LUCK}

Unpopular luck 3: Why don’t you just go back to the mainland, huh? I came out here to AVOID contact with others… So, see you later, OK? Excuse me…

Unpopular luck (???) 1: Ah! What have I done? I've become what I despise! I've been thinking only of my own selfish concerns! I suppose everyone in this great big world is busy, huh, [player]? I've shamed myself. I'll reflect on my actions, and become a more complete animal, [catchphrase]. {NEUTRAL LUCK}

Unpopular luck (???) 2: Yes, well, see you around. OK. Excuse me...

Asleep message: Sleeping now. Don’t worry. I’ll wake up sooner or later.
