"You again? You just can't seem to stay away from ME!"
— Ankha, Animal Crossing: City Folk

Template:Infobox villager Ankha (ナイル, Nile) is a snooty, cat villager in the Animal Crossing series series, appearing in every game except Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival and Animal Crossing: Wild World. She was originally intended to make an appearance in Wild World, but was replaced by a new character called Anabelle. She reappeared in Animal Crossing: City Folk. In Template:AF+, Animal Crossing and Template:AFe+, she is an islander. Her name is based on the ankh, which is the Egyptian hieroglyphic character that reads "life". Her catchphrase relates to her arrogant "snooty" personality, by saying "me", and a sound a cat makes, "meow". Egyptians worshiped cats, and a cat god, which may be where the idea for Ankha design came from.

Appearance

Her headgear was worn by Queen Cleopatra, the Hellenistic ruler of Egypt. Ankha is a navy blue and gold striped cat, with black eyeliner in the style of Egyptian royalty (black around the eyes, then flicks out towards the outside of the eye). She has a slightly different style in City Folk, where she lacks the normal pharaoh headdress which is now replaced with a head pendant.

Personality

Below is a brief description of the snooty personality. For more information, look at the main article found here.

Ankha has a snooty personality, which means she will appear arrogant and snobbish towards the player and other villagers, but will appear friendly and nice in some discussions, provided they are mature and do not insult her lifestyle. She finds appearance important, and will get angry or upset if someone criticizes her sense of style or fitness, which means a conversation between her a jock personality may leave either one upset or angry. Her attitude towards the player changes, as she begins to warm up to them, but she will still retain some arrogance and subtle rudeness. She may not get on with lazy villagers, due to their lifestyles - lazy villagers having a strong interest in food or relaxing of which will make her uncomfortable, angry, and upset when in conversation. she will upset peppy villagers, usually by gossiping about them, and finding small things to judge them on. She will get along well with normal, cranky, and other snooty villagers.

House

In the first Animal Crossing, Ankha's house has a island look. In Animal Crossing: City Folk, Ankha's house takes on a Egyptian look. She has the Ancient Wall and matching carpet in her house. She also has a pyramid, a sphinx, and a birdcage. If she gets a stereo it will play Marine Song 2001.

Fruit Allergy

As an islander in Animal Crossing for GameCube, she has a favorite fruit and a fruit that she is allergic to. Feeding her the allergy fruit will reduce the likelihood of her dropping bags of money. Ankha loves Cherries and is allergic to Apples.
