April is the fourth month of the year. It is the second month of spring in the Northern Hemisphere and the second month of fall in the Southern Hemisphere. In the Northern Hemisphere, the first few days of April will have every trees (except for cedar, fruit, and palm trees) transform into cherry blossom trees that gradually spew out cherry blossoms across the sky. Exclusively in New Horizons, the player can catch these petals for DIY recipes. In the Southern Hemisphere, the grass and trees eventually lose their green, transforming their colors into shades of yellow. More bugs, fishes, and sea creatures are expected to leave after this month.

Cherry Blossom Season (Cherry Blossom Festival)	April 1 to 10 (Northern Hemisphere) Cherry Blossom Festival (AC): April 5 to 8	Animal Crossing Wild World City Folk New Leaf New Horizons	Every hardwood tree transform into cherry-blossom trees, eventually shattering their cherry blossom petals across the town/island. In Animal Crossing, villagers and Tortimer all gather around the Wishing Well to celebrate.
Flea Market	Wild World: April 3 City Folk: April 25	Wild World City Folk	Villagers will sell their furniture items to the player, and they can purchase furniture items from the player.
Flower Fest	April 5 to 10	Wild World	A competition where the player must compete for the best garden around their house against other villagers.
Fishing Tourney	Wild World: April 25 City Folk/New Leaf/New Horizons: April 10	Wild World City Folk New Leaf New Horizons	A Fishing competition hosted by either Tortimer, Chip, or C.J..
Boy's Day	April 20 to May 5	Doubutsu no Mori+ New Leaf	Known as Children's Day in Japan, it is the last celebration within the Golden Week. The player receives an item from Tortimer or Isabelle.
Nature Day	Prior to New Horizons: April 22 New Horizons: April 23 to May 4	Animal Crossing City Folk New Leaf New Horizons	Coinciding with Earth Day, this event is focused on environmental improvements throughout the town/island.
Weeding Day	April 30	New Leaf	The player will either clean weed for Leif or receive a prize from Leif if no weeds are present.
