Balls, in Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival, Template:AF+, Animal Crossing, and Template:AFe+, were objects scattered around the town. They can be kicked around, but cannot be picked up and are difficult to control. Sometimes, the ball may fall into the river or ocean and vanish when it gets out of sight. To make it pop back up, one must simply enter and exit a house, or save and restart the game. If attempted to be rolled up a hill, it will simply roll down until the player blocks it from rolling. When brought to a villager, they will kick it around and chase it. If the player brings one to him or her, the villager will reward them. There are three types of sports balls: the soccer ball (which is white with black spots), the basketball (which is orange with black details), and the volley ball (which is blue with a white stripe).

Snowballs appear in every Animal Crossing game to date, they will only appear during the winter, and can be used to create a Snowman. When a player finds a snowball, they must approach it and roll it around in the snow to make the it grow. In Animal Crossing you must control a snowball much like a ball, kicking it around. However, in Animal Crossing: Wild World, the player is able to hold the snowball and roll it around, which gives him or her more control over where the snowball goes. If the snowball ends up in the river or sea, it will melt in the water. If a snowball is hit with an axe or a shovel, it will break. It will also break if it lands in a hole or falls down a hill. Once two snowballs are large enough, you will be able to push them into each other and create a Snowman. If the Snowman likes the proportions of the snowball body the player created for him, he will reward the player with a piece of furniture from the Snowman Series. However, if you make the wrong proportions, the Snowman will act depressed and you will not recieve any reward.
