Biff is a jock, hippo villager from the Animal Crossing series. He made his first appearance in Doubutsu no Mori. The name "Biff" comes from the adjective "buff", a slang term for someone with strong muscles, which references his jock personality.

Biff also appears during the title sequence of Animal Crossing, during the raining session.

Characteristics

Appearance

Biff is a brown hippo with tan cheeks and hooves. The insides of his ears are purple, and his tail is striped, alternating between brown and tan. He has only two visible tusks showing, which is common for the hippo villagers. Biff's eyes have thick eyebrows, which make it seem as if he is concentrating on becoming stronger, which is appropriate for the jock personality, though it may also lead to the player mistaking him for a cranky villager. In New Horizons, Biff's skin is more saturated, resulting in it being a shade of red. Additionally, the inside of his ears are now magenta.

Biff has a jock personality. He will be into weightlifting, sports and anything athletic. Villagers with the jock personality will often comment on the player's body fitness. Sometimes when speaking to them after being gone for a long period of time, they will compliment the player's fitness telling the player how good they look.
