Big Top (3ごう, #3) is a lazy, elephant villager in the Animal Crossing series. He first appears in Template:AFe+ and also Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk. His name may be a reference to the main arena of a circus, the big top, where elephants are mainly situated in a circus. It may also be a joke, on the size of elephants, who are large mammals, and may also be a slight pun to the fact that he is the villain of the four superheroes. His initial phrase, "villain", plays along with his superhero charm and appearance. Some believe he may be a take on the villain appearance out of the other three superhero villagers, Kid Cat, Agent S and Rocket, with his picture in Animal Crossing: Wild World quote being "World domination!" and his phrase could be a tag placed on him to mark him as the evildoer in the game, though it depends on opinion.
Appearance
He initially wears a No. 3 shirt, which matches his green helmet. He is unique in wearing a helmet, much like Agent S, Kid Cat and Rocket, who are also the only villagers to wear helmets. He has typical cartoon elephant coloring, with pale grey skin and pale pink inside his ears. His mouth is on the right side of his face.

As a lazy villager, Big Top will have a laid-back lifestyle. His main hobbies will involve food and napping, and his more visible hobbies will involve fishing, catching bugs, and fashion, to name but a few. Among these traits he will appear friendly and hospitable towards the player, enjoying their company. He may, however, confuse and therefore offend jock villagers, who do not understand the lazy lifestyle of relaxing and eating, which is the opposite of the active lifestyle jock villagers follow. Snooty and cranky villagers may also get offended, but at some points admire their laid-back outlook on life.
House
In Animal Crossing: City Folk and Animal Crossing: Wild World, Big Top has a boxing theme in his house leading people to believe that he is a jock villager.
