Bones (トミ, Tommy) is a lazy, dog villager in the Animal Crossing series. He has appeared in every game up to date. His name is derived from bones, a popular treat for dogs, and possibly from the term "Lazy Bones." His catchphrase is probably from the noise dogs make. His Japanese name, Tommy, is the English name of one of the two clerks, Timmy and Tommy.

Characteristics

Appearance

Bones is a dog that has brown and black spots all over his body. A large brown patch covers his right eye, making it look like a bull's-eye. His floppy dog ears are tipped black and his muzzle is a plushy, faded pink. His tail is white and his paws and feet appear the same color as his muzzle. He initially is wearing the Caveman Tunic.

As a lazy villager, Bones will be easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all cool villagers, he shares an interest in food and relaxing and sports. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food (fishing). He will get along well with other villager types such as the normal villagers who act as a mother or elder sister figure and peppy villagers who appear to be around the same age. He may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a conflicting lifestyle of exercise and fitness, who do not understand the reason behind the lazy lifestyle choice.
