"Bubblegum K.K." is a K.K. Slider song that first appears in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. It is upbeat and the melody is characterized by pitch bends and major key chords, though the live version includes a brief, calm interlude. As the song's Japanese name of "Idol" suggests, it is based on Japanese idol culture and J-pop. Its English name may come from bubblegum pop, which refers to pop music with an upbeat sound.

Album cover

Album cover in Animal Crossing: New Leaf

The album cover for "Bubblegum K.K." features Francine and Chrissy against a pink background with silhouettes of K.K. Slider's head. In New Leaf, the text at the top of the cover is illegible, although it seems to be loosely based on the Japanese katakana title, "けけアイドル" (Keke aidoru, K.K. Idol). In New Horizons, the text reads "Bubblegum."
