Bubbles (チャコ, Chako) is a peppy, hippo villager in the Animal Crossing series.

Characteristics

Appearance

Bubbles is an orange hippo with small black circles for eyes and flaring nostrils. Her hands and feet are a tan color. She initially wears a Crossing Shirt in Animal Crossing, which is green and the same shade of orange as her skin. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf she wears the Grape Shirt. The inside of her ears and mouth is pink.

As a peppy villager, Bubbles will have the tendency to over-react in conversations about trivial subjects such as appearing in competitions and the chance of her losing. This sometimes triggers her to ask for a certain item of clothing or furniture which she needs to enter a competition. She, like other peppy villagers, will rarely be discouraged from doing anything, including the usual hobbies. She will also have a short attention span, which means she will soon forget arguments or tasks given to the player which were not completed. She may ask the player; "Sooo, how am I dressed today?" The player is presented with a slide-bar indicating Kinda slobby... and Super formal! Moving the bar close to Super formal! will make her happy.

In Animal Crossing, Bubbles has fruit furniture, a Dekkoid set, and Tom Nook's picture in her house. She has a citrus umbrella, daisy umbrella, and strawberry umbrella. She has a citrus wall and citrus carpet. If given a stereo, it will play "K.K. Salsa" or "K.K. Technopop."

In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Bubbles' home contains many sports items, including a basketball hoop and a volleyball net. She also has a Tall Percoloid, a fire extinguisher, and a CD player that plays "K.K. Stroll."
