Camping Season

During the summer in Animal Crossing, Summer Campers may set up tents in the player's village. The campers are not from the player's village, unlike the builders of igloos.
The player can play games with the campers to win unique items, found nowhere else in Animal Crossing, although the items are available for purchase at Tom Nook's store in subsequent games.
