The Campsite is a public works project in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. It costs 59,800 Bells to construct.

Use

Random, out-of-town villagers may camp at the campsite. Villagers that met previously can camp at the site as well. When visiting the camper, the player may convince them to move to their town if a villager is already moving out or there is a space available. Players can also play guessing games with the campers that usually involve the purchasing of some item.

Tent Camper

From February 25^th to December 10^th, campers that arrive for a visit on the town's campsite will set up a tent on the town's campsite. Inside, the villager may want to play a game with the player, if the player has 5,000 bells or more and has one or more space in their pockets. The player can obtain Camping Gear from the villager along with regular kinds of furniture, which is selected at random. The villager can also ask to play a game to sell one of the player's furniture, wallpaper, flooring or even regular tools (not counting silver or gold items though).

Igloo Camper

From December 11^th to February 24^th, campers that arrive for a visit on the town's campsite will set up an igloo on the town's campsite. Inside, the villager may want to play a game with the player, if the player has 5,000 bells or more and has one or more space in their pockets. The player can obtain Winter Gear from the villager along with regular kinds of furniture, which is selected at random. The villager can also ask to play a game to sell one of the player's furniture, wallpaper, flooring or even regular tools (not counting silver or gold items though).
