Categories are collections of furniture based on a shared theme. Appearing in Wild World and all subsequent games, categories include Art, Dolls, Instruments, Models, and Plants. Villagers may ask for an item from a specific category, and the Happy Home Academy rewards a point bonus if the player has a certain number of items from a category in their house.
