Animal Crossing Ahead was one of the larger Animal Crossing series fansites on the internet and one of the first Animal Crossing series fansites for game. It was founded by a person named Josh in the summer of 2002. The forums were at the domain acforums.megadoomer.com. The forums grew in popularity. On February 21st, 2009, a new look was released for the site, that had the Bulletin Board as a news area on the front page of the website.
As of February 27th 2020, Animal Crossing Ahead has relaunched as www.axaforums.ca with many original users returning.
