Animal Crossing Online (commonly abbreviated as ACO) was a fan-made forum website for the Animal Crossing series. It was created in February 2002 and originally named Animal Forest Gamecube, as it was the first website dedicated to the yet-to-be released or named Animal Crossing.[1] After disagreements with how the site was run, some users broke off to create Animal Crossing Ahead in August 2002.[2]
