Community talk:ACNH Spreadsheet

From Nookipedia, the Animal Crossing wiki

Convert page to standard website template and move the current information on the page somewhere else[edit]

When compared to the other websites listed under the Websites navbox, I've always felt that this page felt off with how it is written in second-person, whilst the other pages on that exact same navbox are in third-person (e.g. Animal Crossing World). With that mind, I suggest reformatting the page to be more like those pages and move the information that is currently present on this page somewhere else.

Suggestions on where the other information could be include:

  1. Community:ACNH Spreadsheet/Doc
  2. Help:ACNH Spreadsheet
  3. Nookipedia:ACNH Spreadsheet

I'm personally leaning toward option 2, but what do you think? -- PanchamBro (talk • contributions) 18:18, August 6, 2021 (EDT)

I think that the community namespace lends itself to second person, so I don't really have a problem with it. That said, if you want to re-write it, feel free. I believe the Help namespace is for wiki/editing-related help pages, so I don't think it really fits there. If you wanted to move it, my vote would be Community:ACNH Spreadsheet/Doc. I have no problem with reformatting/rewriting in a more encyclopedic manner, so if you'd like to feel free, but I Oppose Oppose moving. The Community namespace was actually originally created for the ACNH Spreadsheet documentation, because it doesn't really fit in either the Help or Nookipedia namespaces (it's not a Nookipedia project). Our website articles were moved into the Community namespace later, and I don't want us to limit ourselves to the idea that all Community pages should look like the website pages or even follow the typical encyclopedia style - it's meant to serve a broad scope. As for /Doc, the only reason I'd want to split it is length, and I think it's fine as-is. The purpose of the page is to document the spreadsheet and it does that job well (and it's a top Google result for people trying to find and learn about it). ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 00:31, August 7, 2021 (EDT)

You could just make a Community website INSIDE Nookpedia, and that way you could have a website in Nookpedia😊😉 - unsigned comment from ACNHelper2435 (talk • contribs)
