'''Cyrus''' is a blue [[alpaca]] in the {{SER}} who first appears in {{NL}}. In {{NL|short|nolink}} he works at [[Re-Tail]], and in {{NH}} he is part of the [[Wedding Season]] event. He often appears alongside his wife, [[Reese]]. The combination of "Reese" and the first syllable of Cyrus's name form the first two syllables of the word "recycle," a reference to one of the services that Re-Tail provides.

Cyrus is a beige alpaca with blue fur, white eyes with black pupils, blackish-gray eyebrows, brown freckles with each three on each cheek, and white buck teeth. His nose, hands and feet are blackish-brown. The insides of his ears and mouth are pinkish-red. When working, he wears a darkish-blue apron with small reddish-orange crosses, two yellow buttons on each strap, and a pink heart pattern.

In {{NL}}, Cyrus works at Re-Tail alongside Reese and can [[Refurbishing furniture|customize furniture]] for the player if given ore. He can also create furniture such as the [[Golden Series]] and [[music box]] if given the necessary materials. For the [[player|mayor]]'s first seven days in town, Cyrus will be asleep at his desk, unavailable. According to Reese, Cyrus worked on a project all night and is "extremely tired." After at least seven days have passed, Cyrus will wake up and his customization services will be available as long as the player has sold {{Currency|Bells|100,000}} worth of items and has 100 pieces of furniture and 50 pieces of clothing in their [[catalog]].

Customized items will be shown in the player's inventory as red or orange leaves instead of green. Orange leaves are items which have been customized using the player's designs and cannot be dropped by the player.

When the player activates [[multiplayer]] by opening the town's gates, Cyrus will be sleeping and his services are not available.

While initially absent from {{NH}}, Cyrus was introduced in the 1.2.0 [[Animal Crossing: New Horizons/Update history|April Free Update]] alongside Reese and the [[Wedding Season]] event. He appears in the aforementioned event alongside Reese on [[Harv's Island]] and will give the player items from the [[Wedding Series]] in exchange for {{I|heart crystal|NH}}s after each photo shoot. Additionally, after the final photo shoot is completed, Cyrus rewards the player with the [[DIY recipe]] for the {{I|wedding wand|NH}}.

{{I|Cyrus's poster|NH}} can be obtained from [[Nook Shopping]] after inviting him to [[Photopia]] via his [[amiibo]]. Additionally, Cyrus appears on the {{I|Reese & Cyrus photo plate|NH}} and the Reese & Cyrus customization of the {{I|wedding welcome board|NH}}, which are both available during Wedding Season.

With the release of the 2.0 update, Cyrus and Reese can now have a shop open at the plaza on [[Harv's Island]] after donating {{Currency|Bells|100,000}}. The player can have Cyrus customize an item that is not customizable with {{I|customization kit|NH}}s, such as furniture only obtainable through [[Nook's Cranny]], as well as items that can be customized with customization kits. The customized item will have a pink/blue Cyrus symbol if only he can customize it, but will not if the player can customize it with customization kits. The customization service cost {{Currency|Bells}}, and will vary by item. Cyrus is available until midnight.

Prior to its removal in version {{NHVer|2.0}}, when the player scans Cryus's [[amiibo card]] and tries to invite him, he will say:
