Dobie is a Sheep villager from the Animal Crossing series. He first appeared as the only lazy wolf in Animal Crossing, as an islander. After over a decade of absence, he reappeared in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo as a cranky villager.

In New Horizons, Dobie has the nature hobby and will be more frequently seen sitting underneath trees or observing and watering flowers. He will also fish and chase after bugs, and may also be seen carrying bundles of sticks or picnic baskets.

Appearance

Dobie is a grey, murky-colored wolf, erroneously colored a light green in Animal Island. His muzzle is a little lighter than his fur. He has a round, black nose, and thick eyebrows. Dobie's eyes are rarely shown open. The insides of his pointy ears are pink and the tips are black. The tip of his tail, paws and feet are white. His muzzle and face are very wrinkled, and his jaw has several lines going along it, giving the impression that he might be toothless. His facial features give the impression that he is meant to be old, which is further supported by his Cranky personality in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

In Animal Crossing, Dobie is a sisterly villager, enjoying naps and talking about food, as well as appearing calm and relaxed through most circumstances. Like other lazy villagers, he will share the same interests such as clothes, fishing, bug catching, and fossil hunting. When he talks about clothes, he may mention his alter ego, "Fashion Lad", a made up hero by lazy villagers who tackles fashion disasters.

Since Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Dobie is a Peppy villager, which means he is easily bothered and annoyed, in stark contrast with his previous personality. He may get along with snooty villagers, since they both enjoy spreading rumors. He also easily gets along with jock, and sometimes sisterly, lazy and normal villagers. If the player is constantly friendly to him, however, he may become easier to talk to and get along.

Fruit Allergy

As an islander, he has a favorite fruit and a fruit that he is allergic to. Feeding him the allergy fruit will reduce the likelihood of him dropping money bags. Dobie is allergic to cherries and loves peaches.
