List of events in New Horizons

The following is a list of events in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Note that some events were added to the game via updates and dates for some events vary between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.

January

Fishing Tourney (second Saturday of January): C.J. appears at the Event Plaza to host the first Fishing Tourney for the year, such that the player has to catch fish to gather points and exchange for the prizes.
Bug-Off (Southern Hemisphere) (third Saturday of January) - Flick appears at the Event Plaza to host the first Bug-Off for the year, such that the player has to catch bugs to gather points and exchange for the prizes.

February

Bug-Off (Southern Hemisphere) (third Saturday of February) - Flick appears at the Event Plaza to host the second Bug-Off for the year, such that the player has to catch bugs to gather points and exchange for the prizes.

March

Bunny Day (added in 1.1.0) (varies per year; coincides with Easter for Western Christianity and the preceding 11 days): Zipper T. Bunny appears anywhere on the island 11 days before occurring, and on Event Plaza in the exact day it occurs. During this time, the player can get eggs anywhere on the island.

April

Fishing Tourney (second Saturday of April): C.J. appears at the Event Plaza to host the second Fishing Tourney for the year, such that the player has to catch fish to gather points and exchange for the prizes.
Nature Day (added in 1.2.0) (April 23 – May 4) - the player can get Nook Miles from completing the special tasks.
Bunny Day (added in 1.1.0) (varies per year; coincides with Easter for Western Christianity and the preceding 11 days): Zipper T. Bunny appears anywhere on the island 11 days before occurring, and on Event Plaza in the exact day it occurs. During this time, the player can get eggs anywhere on the island.

May

May Day (added in 1.2.0) (May 1–7) - Tom Nook will give the player a special May Day ticket that is available at the Airport. The player can get vouchers and meet Rover here.
International Museum Day (added in 1.2.0) (May 18–31) - The player collects stamps and can get the prize from Blathers.

June

Wedding Season (added in 1.2.0) (whole month) - The player can do photoshoots for Reese and Cyrus in Harv's Island.
Bug-Off (Northern Hemisphere) (fourth Saturday of June) - Flick appears at the Event Plaza to host the first Bug-Off for the year, such that the player has to catch bugs to gather points and exchange for the prizes.

July

Fishing Tourney (second Saturday of July): C.J. appears at the Event Plaza to host the third Fishing Tourney for the year, such that the player has to catch fish to gather points and exchange for the prizes.
Bug-Off (Northern Hemisphere) (fourth Saturday of July) - Flick appears at the Event Plaza to host the second Bug-Off for the year, such that the player has to catch bugs to gather points and exchange for the prizes.

August

Fireworks Show (added in 1.4.0) (every Sunday): Isabelle appears at the Event Plaza, handing away one of four bopper hats, and Redd hosts the raffle.
Bug-Off (Northern Hemisphere) (fourth Saturday of July) - Flick appears at the Event Plaza to host the third Bug-Off for the year, such that the player has to catch bugs to gather points and exchange for the prizes.

September

Bug-Off (Northern Hemisphere) (fourth Saturday of July) - Flick appears at the Event Plaza to host the last Bug-Off for the year, such that the player has to catch bugs to gather points and exchange for the prizes.

October

Fishing Tourney (second Saturday of October): C.J. appears at the Event Plaza to host the last Fishing Tourney for the year, such that the player has to catch fish to gather points and exchange for the prizes.
Halloween (added in 1.5.0) (October 31)

November

Bug-Off (Southern Hemisphere) (third Saturday of November) - Flick appears at the Event Plaza to host the third Bug-Off for the year, such that the player has to catch bugs to gather points and exchange for the prizes.

December

Bug-Off (Southern Hemisphere) (third Saturday of December) - Flick appears at the Event Plaza to host the last Bug-Off for the year, such that the player has to catch bugs to gather points and exchange for the prizes.
Countdown (December 31): Tom Nook and Isabelle appear at the Event Plaza with a large clock that counts down to midnight.
