In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, a Fashion Check is a side-quest in which the player is required by Gracie to dress in a particular style. The player must meet Gracie's requirement by midnight on whatever day she appears at the Event Plaza.
There are a total of nine styles, which include Basic, Cute, Flashy, Historical, Iconic, Ornate, Modern, Rock and Roll, and Sporty. It is mandatory for the player to dress in a full outfit, or else they wont even be accepted for judgement. A full outfit includes a Shirt, Pants, Shoes, Socks, and an Accessory. The player will pass the Fashion Check as long as he or she wears enough clothes which match the theme, and none which clash with the theme.
