The Garden Shop is a shop on Main Street that appears in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Its proprietor is a sloth named Leif, who also makes his first appearance in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. At the Garden Shop, the player can buy flowers, tree saplings, bamboo seeds, and tools related to the tending and maintenance of plants, such as axes, fertilizer, and watering cans.
In order to build and have access to the Garden Shop, the player must have performed at least 30 gardening actions, i.e. watering flowers, planting saplings, bushes, fruit and flowers and pulling weeds. Upon completing the following requirements, the shop will begin construction.
After Super T&T upgrades into T&T Home Center, T&T Home Center and the Garden Store will merge together into one large building, with two separate entrances, similar to a strip mall. Along with the merging of the two stores, Lief will begin to sell an expanded selection of gardening goods and begin to offer a weed-pulling service to the player.
