Grizzly (ムー, Mū) is a cranky bear villager in the Animal Crossing series. The name "Grizzly" refers to his nature and the grizzly bear, though he more closely resembles a black bear. Grizzly was absent from Animal Crossing: Wild World, but he reappears in Animal Crossing: City Folk.

Appearance

Grizzly has yellow eyes with black pupils and brown eyebrows. The inside of his ears are blue. He is a black bear. His initial shirt is the Houndstooth Tee in Animal Crossing. In Doubutsu no Mori+ his initial shirt is the W Shirt. He wears the Three-Ball Shirt in Animal Crossing: City Folk and Animal Crossing: New Leaf. He has a cream colored muzzle. When he is angry, Grizzly's eyes become bloodshot.

Personality

As a cranky villager, Grizzly will appear mature compared to other personality types. This will make him appear belittling and insensitive to other villagers, including the player. Despite this, he will learn to confide in the player, considering them his only friend. He will enjoy the usual hobbies, but for relaxation and peace than competition. He will find it difficult to socialize with peppy villagers, who he will criticize when talking to other villagers. He will get along with normal and snooty villagers, as well as other cranky villagers, who he will share deeper conversations with. He will, on occasion, annoy a normal villager, usually when being mean about something or someone. However, he is noted to be more friendly in Animal Crossing: New Leaf similar to the mature, but friendly personality of smug villagers.

House

In Animal Crossing: City Folk, Grizzly's house has some of the Exotic Series. This includes the Exotic Chest, but he also has the Eagle Pole and Frog-Woman Pole, from the Totem Pole Set, and the Hearth and Paulownia Closet. He displays one gyroid: the Mega Percoloid. He also owns two fish: a Barbel Steed and a King Salmon. His wallpaper is the Cabin Wallpaper, and flooring is the Western Desert obtainable from Saharah. K.K. Dirge will play in his house if he has a stereo.
