Not all items listed here are available in all games; several non-tool items were initially absent in NH, but many were added in the Summer Update Wave 2 (v1.4.0), with most of those only being available from Fireworks Shows. Villagers can also be seen from time to time holding items, including (in short) some that the player cannot hold (often in relation to a hobby), such as snacks, drinks, books, handheld purses, dumbbells, and magnifying glasses.

| Balloons are an item that the player can hold and can also be placed as a decoration. If the player trips while running, is stung by Wasps, falls in a pitfall (except in short), or wears an King Tut Mask while holding a balloon, they will lose that balloon. Balloons also come in the shape of Bunny Balloons and Heart Balloons.

In PG balloons are given out by Redd at the Lake on July 4th. Tom Nook will also give the player a free balloon in his store during a sale (but not on Sale Day). In CF, balloons are obtained free of charge from Phineas in the city, while in NL, they are obtained from Happy Home Showcase players. Balloons do not appear in the catalog in short and short, but do appear in the catalog in Animal Crossing for 40 Bells each and sell for 10 Bells each. Balloons are held in the player's hand like tools, which means that they cannot use a tool while holding a balloon. Balloons can also be placed in a house. If the player trips while running or falls in a pitfall while holding a balloon, they will lose it.

A Party Popper is a festive handheld item. The party popper, like the roman candle and the sparkler, is given to the player during special events, including New Year's Eve, by Tortimer and is given out at random. However, in NL, it can be bought from the Nookling Stores in the month of December for 300 Bells. It is not the same as the sparkler or roman candle, as it shoots out confetti when activated and does not last as long, and neither does it come in different varieties of color. Also in NL, Isabelle hands out party poppers to the mayor and the villagers who come to the ceremonies for public works projects. She does not use one herself.
+
| The Party Popper (or Cracker in ) is a single-use handheld item that shoots out confetti when activated. Unlike the Sparkler or Roman Candle, they come in only one color variety.

Revision as of 08:11, July 6, 2022

This is a list of items that can be held by the player throughout the Animal Crossing series. Only one item may be held at a time. In Animal Crossing: City Folk, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the player can swap between handheld items by pressing left and right on the D-pad.

Not all items listed here are available in all games; several non-tool items were initially absent in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but many were gradually added in updates, with most of those available from Redd. Villagers can also be seen from time to time holding items, including (in New Horizons) some that the player cannot hold (often in relation to a hobby), such as snacks, drinks, and magnifying glasses.

Balloon

Main article: Balloon (item)
This section is about the handheld item that the player can hold. For the balloons that hang in the air with presents, see Balloon (floating).
Balloon NH Inv Icon.png
Balloons are an item that the player can hold and can also be placed as a decoration. If the player trips while running, is stung by Wasps, falls in a pitfall (except in New Horizons), or wears an King Tut Mask while holding a balloon, they will lose that balloon. Balloons also come in the shape of Bunny Balloons and Heart Balloons.

Bean-Tossing Kit

Bean-Tossing Kit NH Inv Icon.png
The Bean-Tossing Kit (known as Beans in New Leaf) is a handheld item that is usually obtained around Setsubun. In New Leaf, Beans are obtained from Timmy and Tommy for  800 Bells. In New Horizons, Bean-Tossing Kits are obtained from Nook Shopping during the Setsubun seasonal event for  800 Bells. When used, the player will drop down beans to the ground.

They come in five flavors: Boba Coffee, Boba Green Tea, Boba Mango Tea, Boba Milk Tea, and Boba Strawberry Tea. Bobas are edible, allowing the player to move trees and break rocks. Each Boba can be used three times to earn one energy point. These items are susceptible to breaking by tripping either from bad health luck or by wearing a King Tut Mask.

Bubble Blower

Bubble Blower NH Inv Icon.png
The Bubble Blower (known as Bubble Wand before New Horizons) is an item introduced in City Folk. When used, the Bubble Blower releases bubbles to the sky. In City Folk, the Bubble Blower can be obtained from Phineas in the city on clear days. In New Leaf, the item is obtained from players within the Happy Home Showcase. In New Horizons, Bubble Blowers can be obtained from Nook's Cranny for  150 Bells or a stack of five from Redd during the Fireworks Show for  500 Bells. Unlike previous games, Bubble Blowers can come in stacks of ten.
