Holden is a jock hamster villager introduced in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo who is exclusive to Japan, where his RV could be invited to the Campground between February 1 and May 1, 2017 as part of a collaboration with Fueki, a company mainly known for their glue and stationery products. During this collaboration, Fueki also made glue pots resembling Isabelle, Digby and K.K. Slider. His furniture can be ordered, but he cannot live in the player's town. He shares this distinction with Filly.

His name is likely derived from "holding," as in glue holding things together. His Japanese name means glue stick. His Japanese phrase, norinori, means "high-spirits," while also being a pun on nori, meaning glue.

Characteristics

Appearance

Holden is a yellow hamster with large blue eyes and white paws. The inside of his ears is a light yellowish brown. His initial clothing is the High-Spirits Shirt, and he also wears a hat resembling the high-spirits hat. His design is based on Fueki's mascot, Fueki-kun, although Fueki-kun himself is a dog.

Trivia

  • Holden's birthday, June 11th, is when Fueki celebrates "glue day." This is because the numbers 6 11 can be rearranged to resemble the word のり, glue.
