The Iguanodon is a three-part fossil that can be donated to the museum in Animal Crossing: Wild World, Animal Crossing: City Folk, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

Indeed, that's how it got its name. It was also thought that it would fight off predators with its spikes... Any way one slices it, all signs point to this beast being one mobile, tough, herbivorous dinosaur!"

In New Leaf

"The iguanodon is so named because it was mistakenly believed to be a large iguana. An herbivore, it is famous for its spikelike thumb claws, which seem somewhat odd on a nonpredator. Supposedly it would run on two legs but would use all four when it was just walking at its leisure."

In Real Life

Iguanodons were dinosaurs that weighed 4000kg and had two main species one in the mid Jurassic period and one in the late cretaceous period they were also the second named dinosaur.
