Ramps are a type of geography that appears in an all Animal Crossing series games, except in Animal Crossing: Wild World, as the town is only one level, hence no cliffs or ramps. As its name implies, it connects the higher and lower parts of town. It is a vertical piece of land, usually covered in grass. Due to a ramp's steep slope, however, sport balls and snowballs are difficult to transport uphill since both easily roll down the ramp. Each town has two ramps, one on each side of town. Occasionally in Animal Crossing, players can get a town with four ramps.
