A common ramp

Ramps are a type of geography that will appear in an all of the Animal Crossing series games except Animal Crossing: Wild World as the town is only one level, hence no cliffs or ramps. As its name implies, it connects the higher and lower parts of town. It is a vertical piece of land, usually covered in grass. However, due to a ramp's steep slope, sport balls and snowballs are difficult to transport uphill as both will easily roll down the ramp. Each town has two ramps, one on each side of town. Occasionally in Animal Crossing players can get a town with four ramps.
