Inkwell (スミダクン, Sumidakun) is a jock octopus villager from the Animal Crossing series, first appearing in Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo. Inkwell references Splatoon, and is one of several villagers introduced in the Welcome amiibo update that references another Nintendo franchise. Inkwell can be brought into the player's campground and invited to join the village by scanning a Splatoon Inkling boy, girl, or squid amiibo. His birthday is also the day that the "Squid Research Lab" (Which is the official Tumblr page for Splatoon) started to post information about upcoming stages and weapons.

Appearance

Inkwell is an orange octopus with white eyes. Like the characters of Splatoon, Inkwell's eyes are outlined in thick black.

Inkwell is a jock villager, which means that he will enjoy sports and exercising. He will get along with peppy, uchi, cranky and other jock villagers, but will conflict with lazy villagers' laid-back lifestyle. He also may have trouble getting along with snooty villagers as well.
