The Checkout Counter is a houseware item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons introduced in the 2.0 Free Update. The item's top surface can be used to place smaller items, such as miscellaneous furniture.

The Checkout Counter can be obtained from either Nook's Cranny for  1,700 Bells or the Paradise Planning office for  1,500 Poki. The item's color can be customized by Cyrus at Harv's Island for  1,000 Bells.

In Happy Home Paradise, this item is unlocked for use in designing when doing a vacation home request for Anchovy, Bangle, Bettina, Broffina, Canberra, Cheri, Cole, Cookie, Cousteau, Croque, Egbert, Elmer, Fang, Gala, Ike, Kitty, Margie, Marshal, Mint, Mitzi, Peggy, and Pippy. The item can also be unlocked when tasked by Lottie to design the apparel shop, the café, the hospital, and the restaurant.

In the designing process of Happy Home Paradise, Elmer requires this item to be placed in or outside their vacation home. This item is also required as one of the tables for the dining hall at the café, as one of the counter for the waiting area at the hospital, as one of the tables for the dining hall at the restaurant, and as one of the teacher's desk for the classroom at the school.

After unlocking this item in Happy Home Paradise, the item can be purchased from Wardell's catalog.
