The Flimsy Axe is a tool item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. As an axe, the player can use this item for 40 times to chop out either Wood, Softwood, Hardwood, Bamboo Piece, Young Spring Bamboo, or Wood Egg depending on the season, or to hit a rock for items (the item will break once the rock produces no more items). The Flimsy Axe cannot be used on any players' islands unless they are marked as a Best Friend.

The Flimsy Axe can be obtained from either Nook's Cranny after unlocking the axe in the story for 800 Bells, from Wilbur on Mystery Islands for 100 Nook Miles, or from crafting, which requires 5× Tree Branch and 1× Stone. The recipe for this item can be obtained from Tom Nook's DIY Workshop at the beginning of the game or Nook's Cranny for 280 Bells.
