The Fountain Firework is an item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons introduced in the 1.4.0 Summer Update (Wave 2). When dropped, a prompt will appear asking the player to push the "A" button. This activates the Fountain Firework, sparkling in the air until a few seconds later when the item is converted to a Used Fountain Firework.

The Fountain Firework can be obtained from Nook's Cranny for  600 Bells or at random from Redd's Raffle during a Fireworks Show for  500 Bells.
