Jacob (ジャコテン Jakoten), known as Jakey in PAL regions, is a lazy, bird villager in the Animal Crossing series. He only appears in Doubutsu no Mori e+ and Animal Crossing: New Leaf’s Welcome amiibo Update.

Jacob's physical appearance has several colors. He has a bit of green atop his head that matches the Green Tie-Dye Shirt he initially wears. Orange runs down his forehead and over his eyebrows. He has small black pupils. His eyebrows are high up on his head, and they are curved downwards. His chin, cheeks, legs, and feet are yellow. He has white around his eyes, and his beak is purple. His feathers are colored red, green, and yellow.

Below is a brief description of the lazy personality. For more information, click here.

Jacob has a lazy personality, meaning that he will love food and sleeping. He will get along well with the player due to his relaxed and laid-back manner. He will get along with peppy and normal villagers since they are very cheerful and act motherly, respectively. He will not get along with jock villagers due to their constant chatter about exercise even though Jacob hates it. He also will not get along with snooty villagers, who obsess over their physical appearances.

Jacob has the same house as Aziz in Template:AFe+, with the difference being that he has the Ivy Wall as wallpaper, and he has "To the Edge" playing on his Phonograph.

In the Welcome Amiibo update of New Leaf, Jacob's house is completely redone. He now has the Old Wallpaper and Ramshackle Floor as his wallpaper and flooring, respectively. He also has two items from the Cardboard Set (the Cardboard Bed and Table), a Round Pillow, a Garbage Bin, some Trash Bags, a Milk Carton, a Ramen Cup, some Scattered Papers, a Stack of Books, and Stacked Magazines. He does not initially have a stereo but when he obtains one, it will play "K.K. Song."
