"K.K. Bossa" is a K.K. Slider in all the games in the Animal Crossing series to date. It is a slow, light jazzy tune that is based on the Brazilian music genre bossa nova, or simply "bossa". Its album art features the "wave" sidewalk design of Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, and Frank, an eagle based on the Brazilian yellow-faced parrot, appears as well. Blaire, Bree (both as of New Horizons), Chai, Cleo (only in Animal Crossing), Deirdre, Elise (both as of New Horizons), Goldie, Lulu, Mallary, Margie (before New Horizons), Marshall (as of New Horizons), Peggy, Robin (before New Horizons), Tia (as of New Horizons), Wendy (in City Folk and New Leaf), and Winnie (only in Animal Crossing) all have "K.K. Bossa" playing in their homes.

In Gekijōban Doubutsu no Mori

In 🎬 Gekijōban Doubutsu no Mori, "K.K. Bossa" is performed by K.K. Slider at the Fireworks Festival. Requested by Margie, it quickly becomes her theme song, representing her friendship with the main character, Ai. It is sung in Animalese with a translation to Japanese running along the bottom of the screen.

Lyrics

"K.K. Bossa" is the only K.K. Slider song to have been given lyrics.

Onami sazanami sazanami
Ke, ke, ke
Nagaretsuita no wa nani?
Hamabe de mitsuketa okurimono
Sore wa tobira o akeru kagi kamo ne...
Tobira no

Kaze bakari janai
dakedomo
shiawase no suuītsu
Sore sae
areba
nantoka naru monda yo
Onami sazanami sazanami
Ke, ke, ke
Nagaretsuita no wa nani?
Hamabe de mitsuketa okurimono
Kimi ga yonda mono kamo shirenai ne
A wave, a splash, a ripple
Ke, ke, ke
At the shore's end, what shall there be?
A gift found on the beach
This is the key to open the door...
Beyond
the door
a pleasant time waits
Not just the wind
but also
sweets of happiness
As long as
you have those
it'll all be okay
A wave, a splash, a ripple
Ke, ke, ke
At the shore's end, what shall there be?
A gift found on the beach
It might be calling out to you
