"K.K. Khoomei" is a K.K. Slider song that first appears in Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 Free Update. Khöömei is a style of Tuvan throat singing that originated in Mongolia. The song is a slow call-and-response between a throat singer and another instrument, while other traditional Mongolian instruments play in the background. Among them is a tovshuur, a three stringed lute, and a morin khuur, or "horsehead fiddle," which is seen on the album cover. The live performance demonstrates overtone singing, with two distinct harmonics heard in K.K.'s vocals (a lower "bass" octave and a higher "whistling" octave).
