Based on Mexican mariachi music, it has a happy, lively theme and uses many acoustic instruments such as the tambourine, clam shells, acoustic guitar, French horn, and trumpet. The song's previous title references the Spanish male form of address, "Señor," whereas the new title simply references the genre, like many other of K.K.'s songs.

In English, "Señor K.K." means "Mr. K.K.", which is also [[Mr. K.K.|a song]] available in the {{SER}}.

[[Cesar]] and [[Gala]] are featured on the album art with K.K. Slider, but before Gala was introduced in {{CF}}, [[Sue E]] was featured on the album art.

Prior to New Horizons, [[Tangy]], [[Peaches]], and [[Angus]] have played it in their houses if they have a stereo. Currently, no villagers play this song in their houses.
