Kangaroos are a species of villager in the Animal Crossing series. Out of the eleven, most kangaroo characters are female, and all females have joeys in their pouches, making them the first species to have a significant trait difference between male and female of the same species, followed by the deer. The joeys in their pouches will move their mouths the same time their mother does, as well as other motions while showing the same emotions (mad, sad, etc.). All female kangaroos' initial catchphrases relate to their baby. For example, Kitt's initial catchphrase is "child," and Mathilda's is "wee baby."
Both male kangaroo villagers have the cranky personality, and there are no jock, lazy or smug kangaroos. Additionally, Koharu and Marcy, the only peppy kangaroos, have not reappeared since Doubutsu no Mori e+.
