• Lazy Villager: Well... If I borrowed it for a week, how much would that be, <catchphrase>?
• Peppy Villager:Let's see, at the low, low price of 500 Bells a day, that would be...like...3500 Bells, <catchphrase>!
• Lazy Villager: WHAAAAAAAAT?! At that price, it would be cheaper to buy it! I guess I don't want you to loan it to me after all... <Catchphrase>...

• Lazy Villager: Hey, <player>! I was wondering: What kind of junk food is your favorite kind of junk food?
• Peppy Villager: Hey! You two! Talking about junk food in front of me is just mean! The store sold out of my favorite chips!
• Lazy Villager: Really? Maybe if you listen to us, we'll remind you of a different snack you like, <catchphrase>. Lately I've been eating a lot of <food #1> and <food #2>...
• Peppy Villager: Cut it out! You're not helping at all! What if they never get more?! What if I never eat them again?! It's just not fair, <catchphrase>!
• Lazy Villager: Oh geez! I made her cry! How do I STOP her crying?! Waaaaah! <Player>, what do I do now? <Catchphrase>!
• Peppy Villager: <Lazy Villager>! You don't get to cry! Sniffle. If my eyes stay red and puffy all day, it's totally your fault, <catchphrase>.

• Lazy Villager: Thanks for visiting me when I was sick, <Normal Villager>! Bringing me medicine was nice enough, but making me soup was above and beyond the call of duty! I think you might be my guardian angel!
• Normal Villager: Don't worry about it! If I was in the same situation, I know you would've helped me too, <catchphrase>! Besides, it seems like you're over your cold, and that's what's important.
• Lazy Villager: Yeah! And it's thanks to you and that delicious soup you brought me.
• Normal Villager: Anytime! If you catch a cold again, you can count on me, <catchphrase>! After all, we're friends and we live in the same town!
• Lazy Villager: Hmm... So, what you're saying is, if I had a really nasty cold that lasted a loooong time... You'd bring me soup every single day? Ooh, all of sudden, my throat is feeling kinda scratchy...
• Normal Villager: Uhh... Don't push your luck, <catchphrase>!

With Cranky Villager

• Lazy Villager: I want eat a kid's meal soooo bad, <catchphrase>!
• Cranky Villager: Don't you know that kids' meals are for kids?! It's right there in the name, for Pete's sake, <catchphrase>! Besides, I've heard eating kids' meals stunts your growth! That must be why you're so short!
• Lazy Villager: But... I'm short 'cause I'm still a kid... And when you were a kid, you must've eaten kids' meals, right, <Cranky Villager>?
• Cranky Villager: Back in my day, we didn't have kids' meals! In fact, back when I was a kid... We didn't have pacifiers either, so we used squids! Not as fancy, but it did the job just fine! And we didn't have any of these multicolored snacks that kids eat nowadays. Instead, we mostly snacked on lima beans and Brussels sprouts, <catchphrase>. And if we were extra good, we might get a piece of licorice as a treat!
• Lazy Villager: Are you serious, <catchphrase>?! So, I guess that means... You've never eaten a kid's meal?
• Cranky Villager: Never! And proud of it, <catchphrase>!
• Lazy Villager: Well, I guess you don't like the little plastic robots that come with kids' meals either, huh, <Cranky Villager>?
• Cranky Villager: What?! <Catchphrase>?! Kids' meals come with little robots?! But no one likes little robots more than I do.

• Lazy Villager: Uhhh... Coffee cake!
• Cranky Villager: ...Eggplant.
• Lazy Villager: ...Toast!
• Cranky Villager: ...Tomato.
• Lazy Villager: Oatmeal!
• Cranky Villager: Heh heh heh... How about 'lox', <catchphrase>?
• Lazy Villager: Whaat?! But that's no fair! Everyone knows that no foods start with X!
