Lost Property is a type of item that can appear in the lost and found, guarded by Booker. These items range from furniture to pitfall seeds. Players can take any item held at the moment, regardless of whether they own it or not.

In in Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival and Animal Crossing, lost property can be found in the police station. There can be a maximum of twenty items, after which the next item replaces the oldest one.

In Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk, lost property is now located in the town gate. In Wild World, the lost and found appears to hold up to 15 items, and in City Folk, it appear to hold up to 12 items, but in both games, it actually has only a capacity of 10 items. Pitfalls appear more frequently in these games.
