March is the third month of the year. It is the first month of spring in the northern hemisphere and the first month of fall in the southern hemisphere. In the northern hemisphere, many bugs and fishes that have previously left during the winter months return during this month. Exclusively in New Horizons, throughout the month grass transforms from a color of light-brown to green and trees changes into a brighter shade of green. In the southern hemisphere, trees and grass deteriorate, and many bugs, fishes, and sea creatures have left due to the cooling temperatures, with more expected to leave after this month.

Flea Market	Wild World: March 4 City Folk: March 26	Wild World City Folk	Villagers will sell their furniture items to the player, and they can purchase furniture items from the player.
Girl's Day	March 3	Doubutsu no Mori+ New Leaf	A date that celebrates the Heian period of Japan. The player receives an item from Tortimer or Isabelle.
La-Di-Day	March 11	Wild World	Villager will try to give the player suggestions for a new town tune.
Fishing Tourney	Wild World: March 19 City Folk/New Leaf: March 18	Wild World City Folk New Leaf	A Fishing competition hosted by either Tortimer or Chip.
Father's Day	March 19	City Folk New Leaf	Fathers around the world are celebrated during this day. This only happens in towns with their language set in Spanish. A red carnation seed bag is mailed to the player.
Spring Sports Fair	March 20 to 21	Animal Crossing	Villagers and player participate in various activities related to sports.
Bunny Day	Depends (not within this month)	City Folk New Leaf New Horizons	Zipper will ask the player to collect eggs to obtain furniture related to Bunny Day, whether it be trading or crafting.
Yay Day	March 26	Wild World	Villagers swap compliments with the player, and may refer to them infrequently after the event.
