E3 2011 screenshot of the Master Sword in Animal Crossing: New Leaf

The Master Sword is one of the main weapons of The Legend of Zelda series. It makes an appearance as a furniture piece in Animal Crossing, and reappears in the sequel. However, in the sequel, it had a corresponding sound to it, which is featured in The Legend of Zelda games. The Master Sword was seen during the 2011 E3 Animal Crossing: New Leaf video. In the video, a player was dressed as Link and was about to try to pull the Master Sword out of its stone. When tapped, it plays the same sound that plays when Link gets an item in most Zelda games.

In addition to being available from Tom Nook's store as a spotlight item, on November 17, 2006, the Master Sword was distributed to players of Animal Crossing: Wild World via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection to celebrate the release of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
