A memory is a feature included in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp that includes various villagers in a short cutscene, that can be unlocked by the player fulfilling certain prerequisites. These prerequisites include inviting the villagers present in the memory to the campsite, raising their friendship level to a certain number, or gaining specific pieces of furniture from Fortune Cookies. Depending on the player's progress, or whether the respective fortune cookie event has ended, it can be either pathetically easy or impossible to unlock all memories, as the furniture needed for the latter prerequisite is commonly rare with their respective fortune cookies.

Memory #1: Jay's Plucky Potluck

Prerequisites

Required Villagers

Synopsis

Jay asks the others if they want to do a muscle march.

The memory opens with Apollo, Rosie, and Goldie having fun, with Jay appearing in the background. Out of nowhere, Jay suddenly walks up and asks if everyone is ready for a "muscle march", which confuses Goldie and prompts her to ask Jay what it is. Jay tells Goldie that a "muscle march" is when one or more persons pack a lunch and hike up a mountain to "strengthen their leg muscles". Laughing at this, Rosie corrects Jay and says that most people call Jay's idea a hike, also stating that it is a great idea. Apollo, however, disagrees, asking Jay if they aren't already "roughing it up" enough for him, as well as sarcastically asking if Jay needs a breath of "fresher air". Annoyed, Jay states that they are getting away from his vision, stating it to be that Jay wants to walk with everyone while shouting "inspirational slogans" to everyone, and finally doing jumping jacks and drinking protein shakes at the summit. Now in deep thought, Goldie reconsiders Jay's decision with the fact that the mountain Jay is talking about is intended to be steep, suggesting that they instead went to a beach and relax in the sunshine. Rosie states that she is fine with either one, feeling as though she needs to enjoy nature for the time being, as it's all around them, but it's also hard to see "what's in your nose".

Apollo angrily tells Jay that he can't drink protein shakes.

Infuriated, Apollo bluntly corrects Rosie's statement, and seems to be annoyed by the fact that no one can make a firm decision. Furthermore, they haven't discussed what they were actually going to eat, angrily stating that he can't live off of Jay's "newfangled shakes", which confuses Rosie, who suggests that they have pancakes instead. This makes Jay somewhat more frustrated, naively stating that after a good workout, one should "refuel on protein shakes", or else you won't have any "gains". Goldie then interjects, believing that they should have some kind of compromise to balance this out, and suggests that they blend the pancakes into a smoothie. Apollo quickly tells Goldie off on this suggestion, telling her to not go there, before suggesting that everyone just brings their own food instead. Agreeing with the idea, Rosie suggests turning this event into a potluck, and asks if Goldie can bring sandwiches if she brings pancakes. Even Jay is excited by the suggestion, and states that he can't wait to eat all of the food to savor his gains.

A few moments later, everyone has brought their respective foods, and Apollo asks what everyone has brought. Jay brought his protein shakes, before noticing the food Apollo brought, stating that they're "exploding with carbs." Confused, Apollo says that his food has no "carbs", as they are rice balls, and also wants to know where they planned on going. Realizing this, Goldie states that they never planned on that, as they were too busy arguing about what food to bring. This brings Rosie to blame Jay for being so obsessed with his gains. However, Jay offers a solution to this problem: preloading, in which you eat before a major workout in exchange for said workout being much harder. Jay then kicks off the potluck, humorously stating that they are sure to come to a decision by the time the food is finished, angering Apollo and confusing Goldie.

Memory #2: Campfire Cozy Time

Prerequisites

Required Villagers

Synopsis

The memory opens showing Punchy, Beau, Fauna, and Eloise gathered around a campfire, which Punchy remarks as it being cozy. Eloise agrees with him, and states that it's been a while since she's been to a campfire, remarking at how exquisite it is. She then turns to Beau, who set up the campfire and invited everyone else, and thanks him. Beau, humbled by this, states that he simply wanted friends to hang out with him, to which Fauna states that it may be her new favorite thing. Eloise, though in accordance with Fauna, thinks there should also be some entertainment to keep them company, suggesting that Fauna preforms with folk dance. Although nervous and slightly under prepared, Fauna agrees, although Punchy is confused by this, stating that he hasn't brought any forks with him, as he misinterpreted "folk" as "fork". Fauna suggests that everyone should join in to make it more fun, while Punchy suggests having a snack afterwards.

Taken back by this, Eloise begins to monologue that she once danced as a little girl in a small camp, even holding hands with her crush once, which Fauna remarks that she would have been absolutely nervous. Eloise replies that it was indeed nervous, even stating that her hands sweated while holding those of her crush, to this day hoping that they did not notice. However, Punchy suddenly jumps into the conversation, stating that he once held his mom's hand, yet he never felt nervous, to which Eloise smugly responds by saying that eventually, Punchy will understand, to his confusion. Beau, watching this unfold, acts proud of himself for having it all go so smoothly, although he wishes he had invited more friends along. At that moment, Eloise asks Beau what the matter is, and Beau states that, while they're having fun, he feels as though his other friends are missing out, though he quickly realizes that there wasn't enough space anyway. Eloise suggests that they could go back and tell those that weren't invited about it, and allow them to have their own campfire group. Resuming the conversation, Eloise asks Fauna who she has a crush on, shocking Fauna and prompting her to say that sharing such information would be embarrassing. Punchy, suddenly confused, asks about what happened with the "fork dancing", as Beau quietly nods his head.

Memory #3: Let's make Curry!

Prerequisites

Required Villagers

Synopsis

Filbert greets Rex, the latter of whom is deep in thought.

The memory first opens showing Rex deep in thought, struggling to make a good decision. Walking up to him, Filbert greets Rex and asks him about his thinking, causing Rex to turn around and see that Bunnie and Butch are also present, surprising Rex. Overwhelmed, Rex states that he was only trying to decide between whether he should eat a snack or make dinner. Butch, laughing at this, humorously states that it sounds like a real crisis, and apologizes for the interruption. Considering the situation, Bunnie suggests gathering together and cooking, as it would not only be fun, but also delectable.

Bunnie, frustrated, turns to Butch for a recipe.

Butch agrees to this, though only if they make spicy curry, his favorite dish. The mention of this food quickly excites Rex, stating that they start immediately, as his mouth is already watering. Filbert is also excited at this, asking them to tell him when preparations are made. However, Butch interrupts him, stating that Filbert cannot slack off while the rest of them are working, despite the fact that Filbert does not know how to make curry. Comforting him, Bunnie states that she doesn't know either, but figures that at least one of them does. Rex, in agreement, humorously states that the only thing he can make is a spoon made of peanut butter.

Dissonant by this, Bunnie comes to the conclusion that only Butch knows the best recipe, frustratingly asking Butch if he knows a recipe. Butch, somewhat offended, bluntly says that of course he can make curry. Despite this, however, Butch says to himself that it could backfire in a bad way, while Bunnie gleefully states that they are all set, also sighing to herself that she's grateful that at least someone knows what they are doing. Filbert then jumps in, even saying that it would be nice if he learned how to make curry himself. At that moment, everyone begins to cook, showing a monotage of all four of them getting together to make the dish. Finally, the food is complete, satisfying the player, who speaks through a blue text box.

Synopsis

The memory begins showing Chrissy, Francine, and Rosie on a trio of small stages, the latter of whom has her back turned. In the audience is the player and any other animals at the campsite. Finally, Chrissy enthusiastically begins, asking if the audience is ready for their performance. As the majority of the audience already knows Chrissy, she immediately introduces her co-host, Francine, who, after thanking the crowd, announces that the two sisters have something "special" planned for the performance, asking for Chrissy's agreement in the process. Chrissy, agreeing, decides to first introduce their "special guest", who happens to be Rosie as she turns around and reveals herself, to the crowd's applause. Thanking the crowd for inviting her, Rosie declares the performance to be great with her involved, even stating that she has seen Francine and Chrissy's rehearsals. In addition, Rosie is left flattered by the fact that they invited her to begin with.

However, despite this aura, Rosie turns to Francine, out of concern that she may steal the spotlight from them. Francine understands this, telling Rosie that neither of them mind, as Rosie was their special guest after all. Furthermore, Chrissy encourages Rosie to give her all in the performance, boosting Rosie's confidence. With Rosie now confident, Chrissy riles up the crowd while Francine starts the music, as the trio sing to Bubblegum K.K.. During this, the player is left impressed, even stating it to be the best performance they have seen.

Memory #11: Whitney and the Wedding Arch

Prerequisites

Required Villagers

Synopsis

The memory opens showing the player and Whitney underneath a Rose Wedding Stage, to which Whitney asks the player if they have ever seen one before, also remarking at how romantic it looks. That said, Whitney proceeds to go on a tangent about marriage, stating that two people promise to spend their lives together under this very arch, and remarking at how elegant it appears. The player nods in agreement, as Whitney continues to monolauge about a potential wedding, as the wedded couple stand under, both nervous and excited about the experience. This thought overjoys Whitney, who even beckons the player to imagine it with her. However, the camera immediately pans out to reveal Alfonso standing behind both of them. Shocked and confused about the sight, Alfonso asks himself if a wedding is occurring at that instant. Overhearing Alfonso, Peanut excitedly rushes in, surprising Alfonso as he remarks at how fast Peanut is running.

As Peanut arrives, she is immediately overjoyed by the sight, remarking at how cute of a couple Whitney and the player are. Peanut, contemplating the situation, also realizes how huge a wedding is, asking Alfonso to follow her after the former realizes what can occur from this. However, as Peanut takes off running, Alfonso contempfully asks Peanut to wait for him, stating that he can't run that fast, as if he liked running at all. As both leave, Whitney finally feels satisfied, and decides to leave, but is interrupted by Alfonso, Peanut, and any other animals at the campsite applauding her, much to her confusion. Clarifying, Peanut says that Whitney should have told her and the other animals about this "marriage" as she congratulates her again. Alfonso also states that he, as well as the other animals, are excited for her, even declaring the beginning of his favorite part: the reception. Dissonant, Whitney clarifies that no marriage actually occurred, as she was only admiring the Wedding Arch for herself, much to the dismay of Peanut, who organized the reception with various foods. This gives Alfonso an idea, suggesting that they admire all of the food - plus the cake - regardless, correcting himself by saying "eat" instead of "admire". The player than apologizes for the inconvenience, and decides to throw a party with all of them gathered here.

Memory #13: Bluebear's Ice-Cream Party

Prerequisites

Required Villagers

Synopsis

The scene opens with Bluebear, Cherry, Julia, and Mitzi seated around a table, with Bluebear welcoming her guests to a "super cool" ice cream party, laughing quietly at her pun. Julia returns this thanks, stating that despite always being busy, she has still looked forward to it since the day it was announced. In humbility of this, Bluebear even states that she had gathered all kinds of ice-cream themed decorations for their amusement, leading Mitzi to look towards an ice cream sandwich sofa and realize it is not food. Still, Mitzi complements how realistic it appears, even stating that she's tempted to lick it a few times. Cherry also complements on an ice cream lamp fitting with the "chill" style, before remarking that she could imagine herself with this kind of furniture in her home. Out of curiosity, Julia is prompted to ask Cherry what her house actually looks like, to which Cherry describes her house containing a guitar in the center, as Cherry, who enjoys writing music, wants to "keep her axe ready" if she wants to play. Bluebear then joins in to complement Cherry's style, as she knows how much Cherry enjoys music, and this style is "so [her]".

Mitzi, however, not wishing to change the subject, takes notice of Julia's eyelashes, commenting that they look more fancy than normal and prompting Julia to ask if she had made it that way intentionally for the party. In response, Julia states that her eyelashes in this case are natural, to which Mitzi further complements them. With everyone preoccupied, Bluebear decides to sneak off and prepare her "big surprise", leaving the others to talk with one another. As she leaves, Mitzi begins to go on another tangent of ice cream being her most favorite thing, reminding her that Cherry, supposedly, hates sweets. When asked this, Cherry replies in shock that she somehow gave that impression, as in reality she loves sweets, sometimes to the point where she can't control herself. At that moment, however, Bluebear calls the rest of the guests over to her, as they turn around in shock to see Bluebear's "surprise": A giant ice cream sundae. Julia, the first to react, is left overwhelmed by how large it is, commenting that it gives her a brain freeze just looking at it, and frantically asks Cherry to eat the entire thing, since she likes sweets so much.

In response, however, Cherry is left in shock for being given such a large undertaking, stating that Julia can't expect her to eat the entire thing. Cherry even states it to be too much for anyone, even her. Laughing, Bluebear finally clarifies that the giant sundae is merely a statue, stating that she only wanted to show off her most epic decoration of the party. Julia sighs in relief at this, while Cherry is left speechless. Mitzi, speaking up, states how relieved she is, speaking for all of them that they probably could never finish the whole thing, though she still felt an urge to experience it herself. Bluebear, in retribution, announces that she also has real ice cream for them as well, delighting Julia, who states that it wouldn't be an ice cream party without actual ice cream involved. Plus, she is already hungry for ice cream already, as everyone else begins to eat, to which the player remarks at it being a "ice cream party for everyone."
