The Museum Shop in a new location in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, located on the second floor of the Museum, and is run by Celeste, Blathers' sister.
The shop isn't open when the player starts the game, as it must first be unlocked and paid for as a public works project. Blathers, at some point after the player hands in 20 items (at least one in each category), will look worried and ask you to build the shop. After paying Lloid 198,000 Bells, the Museum Shop will open the next day.
In the shop, the player can purchase several of the silver tools and various Museum-themed decorative items. Also available are four exhibit rooms for the player to decorate.
