The Lead Editor rank formerly had the abilities now held by Patrollers. They had access to a section of Administrator rights that they could use to help the wiki and were the primary candidates for promotions to the Administrator rank.

Abilities
In addition to the rights of autoconfirmed users, Lead Editors had the following abilities:
- Protect pages and edit protected pages
- Delete wiki pages
- Have their own edits automatically marked as patrolled
- Mark users' edits as patrolled
- Rollback the edits of the last user to edit a page
