Featured Articles

In the article, it reads "A new featured article will be chosen by a wiki team member each month." We don't currently do this so I think we should remove the information. I just wanted to check around first. Leem01 07:57, 3 January 2012 (EST)

The vagueness of "currently"

"An official method of recommending featured articles is currently in development."

Is it even in development "currently"? Like, right at this moment? It's been like that since November 6, 2010‎. Mario^{Talk to-a me!} 02:54, October 9, 2013 (EDT)

Nope, the article is outdated. We do need to re-vamp our featured article system, including establishing a way to nominate articles, and reviewing our current articles (which may be out of date). If any editors want to start up a revamp in the sandbox or something, that'd definitely be an overdo project do to :) ~SuperHamster Talk 21:20, October 9, 2013 (EDT)

We do have a sandbox :) It's over at Nookipedia:Sandbox. You can always also make one as a subpage of your userpage.

In terms of what needs done, I think the best option for featured article nominations is to have a nominations page, as we do for staff members and featured pictures. We may also want to come with a concrete list of the qualities a featured article needs: full coverage in all games, good images, in-depth, etc. ~SuperHamster Talk 02:53, October 10, 2013 (EDT)

Sorry for the late reply! Been busy and this slipped my mind. Looks great - nice job! I made a few small adjustments, the major part being about voting. I specified that admins and above are responsible for closing nominations. Also changed the part about users removing other users' votes - it's generally a bad idea to let users remove each others' votes, since that can be abused and cause arguments, etc. It's best to just leave the decision of whether or not to include bad votes to the closing administrator.
