Obon is a holiday celebrated on August 15th or August 16th in Japanese versions of Animal Crossing: New Leaf. It is a minor holiday like April Fool's Day, Autumn Moon, etc. Japanese players may visit the Plaza near the town tree on this day and receive a gift from Isabelle, which can be either an Eggplant Cow or a Cucumber Horse.
