Pate's name probably derives from the French word "pâté", a meat dish usually formed from the liver of a duck or goose, meaning that her name should most likely be pronounced "Pa-tay", rather than "Pay-te".
Appearance
Pate is a duck with blue-grey, coloured feathers, who wears pink blush on her cheeks, has short, brown hair, has anxious-looking eyebrows, causing her to seem somewhat distressed or confused, and sticking with the common peppy trait, 'cute', beady eyes; in an uncomplimentary sense, her appearance on a whole maybe loosely based on the fairy tale, "The Ugly Duckling", which further relates to her song of choice. The clothing you see her wearing upon first encounter will be the Indian Flag. Much to some player's confusion, Pate is actually a female duck - this supports what her appearance maybe be based on.

Pate is a peppy villager, meaning she is filled with endless spirit and loves to participate! She can be seen walking out and about, even on those rainy days. Pate believes the glass is half full and not half empty, she is an optimistic, peppy villager that is a lot of fun. Pate can become a true friend to you, she listens to what you have to say and comprehends your choices. However, she can be sort of quick to put words in your mouth, especially when concerning her current hobby. If you have been ignoring her, she will give you a dirty look when you wave to her. Despite this, Pate can be a somewhat good friend when you learn to cope with her selfish ways. She can become open and does not hesitate in sharing gifts with friends.
House
Pate's house has countless items from the Exotic Series, a cream sofa, and the mini and mega Freakoids. She also owns a phonograph, which plays K.K. Dirge. She also has the Exquisite wall.
