Peewee is a cranky, gorilla villager in the Animal Crossing series who has appeared in every game so far. His name is a joke on his size and personality - "peewee" usually indicating size with relation to youth when Peewee is in fact large and adult. His initial phrase, "Li'l dude," also relates to this. His name may also be related to 'Peewee Herman.'

Peewee is a typical navy blue furred and grayish-blue skinned gorilla with huge nostrils. Peewee sometimes looks angry because of the way is mouth is in a straight line, although this may also look like he is constantly smiling. His angry eyebrows may enhance his cranky personality.

Peewee is a cranky villager, which means he is stubborn and easily annoyed when things are not going his way. He will appear rude and belittling towards the player, but will eventually warm up to them, considering them his only friend. He will find the usual hobbies of fishing, bug catching, fossil hunting, fashion, and furniture collecting considerably more interesting compared to other village types, adding more reason behind the hobbies than other villagers, and will often ask players to catch something for him. He will get along with other cranky villagers and snooty villagers, who share the same interests and meaningful discussions. He will often suggest spreading rumors on peppy and normal villagers when no interesting events are happening in the town.

Peewee reappears in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp as one of several villagers that the player can invite to their campsite after collecting his favorite furniture. His preferred theme is Sporty. Additionally, Peewee is also featured in the Memory "Peewee and Hamlet's Big Race" alongside Hamlet. This memory, however, can only be unlocked by raising both Peewee and Hamlet's friendship levels to 10 and having them both at the campsite.
