Puck is a lazy penguin villager in the Animal Crossing series. His name refers to a "puck," used in hockey games, which is played on ice, and ice is the habitat the typical penguin lives in. His Japanese name is literally the word Hockey. Due to his appearance as a hockey player, many players could mistake him for a jock villager. His favorite saying, "A bad attitude will land you in the penalty box," also references hockey. He is absent in Animal Crossing: Wild World, and he returns in Animal Crossing: City Folk. His initial phrase, brrrrrrrrr, is what people say when they are cold.
Characteristics
Appearance
Puck is a light pink penguin with a yellow beak, a white chin, and a blue hockey helmet, while his eyes appear to be partially covered by said helmet. Despite wearing sports gear, a trait usually seen in jock villagers, Puck is in fact a lazy villager. His initial clothes are the BB Shirt. In Doubutsu no Mori, Puck's skin is a darker shade of pink, and his eyes are wider. He also lacks the white on his chin. Puck also bears a passing resemblance to Scoot, a jock duck villager.

As a lazy villager, Puck will always talk about food, sleeping, his collection of comics, and other aspects of a sedentary lifestyle. He goes along with other villagers, though his lifestyle clashes with the jock's, where jocks are interested in keeping fitness. Puck's laid-back personality makes him easy to approach, so he may be befriended easily.
